Thank you to all of our wonderful clients for joining us on the 28th of June 2020 for an extremely informative session with Charlene Jacquin of Synapse Solutions. Our participants were spoiled with free and discounted NBI Assessments and free consultations. Phew…how lucky are we?!
Here is a little bit of what we learned and some more information on what you have to look forward to next week!
1. What we learned:
Charlene helped us to understand thinking preferences from a completely different perspective, which I for one found to be fascinating. The session was focussed on developing an understanding of how we can overcome our thinking preference obstacles by adopting whole-brain thinking.
We learned that our brains are divided into a left (logical side) and right (creative side) hemisphere. This is further divided into four quadrants and then further into 8 dimensions to give you a clear idea of how you tend to think and organise your world.
Charlene took us through some practical steps which an individual could go through to grow during these times of discomfort, ensuring that we are holding ourselves accountable for our growth rather than being stunted. If we have learned anything during the Covid-19 pandemic, it is that sometimes it’s not possible to change our circumstances in the short term, and so the best we can do is to adapt to the environment which surrounds us. For example;
- As recruiters, we may not be able to change our office environment, the rules of engagement in the workplace or the people we work with on a daily basis, yet we need to learn how to thrive in this environment.
- The same would go for our candidates as they enter into new workplaces.
The NBI Assessment gives recruitment consultants the best possible opportunity to provide both the candidate and client with a valuable, positive experience aiding further business opportunity in the form of placements and retention of clients for repeat business.
