Update: New Stats Available for June & July!
The Tide is Turning!
These stats pulled from Placement Partner show how many Placements were made across our client base between the 1st of February and the 20th of May 2020.
During the months of February to March 2020, we were seeing reasonable counts of placements being made before the hard lockdown surprise was announced.
In April, we saw the sudden drop of Placements, which was not only caused by the need to lock down, but the fact that there were businesses that weren’t ready to work remotely. A large part of April was spent setting up teams at home, assessing, coordinating, trial, error and just waiting to see what would happen next. Of course, with all of this mayhem, many businesses did institute hiring freezes in light of all the uncertainty. (April: only 16% of Feb’s perm placements!!!)
The good news is, as businesses got used to their remote working environment and began to embrace the change, Placement Partner clients were ready for the wave of change. As of the 18th of May, we have already seen slightly more placements than in the whole of April and this is with half a month to go!
As the lockdown restrictions become less stringent we are going to have more quality candidates to screen and interview than ever before. We will also see businesses looking for new skills to drive new initiatives. Those who managed to get though this time will soon be hiring to capitalise on new opportunities or overcome challenges which the changed environment has brought them.
However small this change, it’s a positive sign that the tide is indeed turning. It’s time to get ready!
The next leg of the race is undoubtedly digital and in many cases will remain remote. To thrive and keep up with the competition, we need to be acting fast and finding efficient ways to grab that opportunity before the next recruiter.
Placement Partner will provide you with the insights you need to forecast and plan better than ever before. Let’s agree to never get caught off guard again! We can ensure that the whole team is on the same page, wasting no time on mundane admin tasks, but rather prioritising time for activities that put people first – Finding new client opportunities and securing placements.
These are the activities that drive revenue.
The businesses that are thriving during this time are those that have kept on top of technology and have been able to adapt to change quickly. If there is one thing that we have learnt from this pandemic, it’s that we need to keep ourselves informed, plan ahead and move with the times.
Placement Partner is honoured to serve our recruitment community. Let’s keep going!
